Maruti Cars India is geared up for the launch of its brand new compact car Maruti Ritz, targeted at small urbane families. Maruti Ritz is designed on the lines of its globally successful model Maruti Splash.
Maruti India is contemplating to position the Maruti Ritz with the Maruti A-Star and the Maruti Swift. Maruti Ritz will counter Hyundai i10, Hyundai i20, Skoda Fabia, Ford Fusion, Fiat Palio and Tata Indica Vista. Maruti Ritz is Maruti's ninth car and the company aims to position it as the leader in the crowded market.
Maruti Ritz is equipped with BS-IV engines and a 5-speed manual gearbox. Maruti Ritz will be powered by 1.2L petrol engine and 1.3L multi-jet diesel engine.
The all new Maruti Ritz will be priced between 4 to 4.5 lakh rupees. Having cleared all the homologation tests it was approved by the International Centre of Automotive Technology (iCAT) at Manesar in Haryana last week. The Maruti Ritz is all set for launch in the Indian market.

This is one of the best car that Maruti is launcing in second week of may this car is coming with all new K-12 engine.The K12M is essentially a 1197cc petrol engine that is capable of putting out 85 PS of power at 6000rpm in its current state of tune. Torque figures stand at 113Nm @ 4500rpm - which should make the Ritz a sprightly performer and about the interiors Ritz also offers a center console designed to give a strong presence and easy access. It also has a host of other features like a large independent speedometer, coloured fascia, information display, comfortable seat fabric and door trim which further contribute to the interior’s young and fresh appeal.
Ritz looks really cool and sporty yet classy and is surely good alternative to people who dont want to buy santro or the Wagon-R and want something bigger and than the Alto/A-star.
